Attendance policy

What to expect when you book a therapy slot

For psychological therapy to be beneficial, we recommend regular and consistent attendance of sessions. Regular sessions will take place at the same time and day every week unless agreed otherwise.

When you book a therapy vacancy, your therapist freezes this slot in their diary and holds it solely for you every week.

Subsequently, missed sessions are payable in full. The full T&Cs apply even in the event of holidays, work commitments, illness, and emergencies.

If there are occasions when you cannot be available at the time of our appointment, I will try my best to reschedule the session. Your will need to give advanced notice for this. Despite best intentions, it may not always be possible to reschedule the session due to other working commitments.

Cancellation policy

If you are unable to attend your appointment, please let us know as soon as possible via email to zera.brittenden@protonmail.com.48 working hours notice is required for cancellation. No refund will be given for non-attended appointments or those cancelled with less than 48 hours notice, as we incur the same costs as if the appointment had taken place and we are unable to offer the slot to another client at that late stage.

We will endeavour to give you as much advance notice as possible of any need to cancel or reschedule a future appointment, for instance due to illness. Any appointments that need to be rescheduled by Brittenden Psychology do not incur a cost to the client – the appointment fee can be refunded or applied to the next appointment.

Fees – for self-funded individuals

Psychological therapy sessions (50 minutes) £130-140 depending where and when you see me. I can give you updated information about this when you make an enquiry.

Payment of Fees

Currently, self-funded clients can pay Dr Zera Brittenden directly via Bank Transfer. Please pay before attending the session. Any sessions that are not paid will not go ahead and the next appointment will not be booked until payment has been made.
